Senior Director - Corporate and International Tax

Amit is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, qualified in 2007, and a law graduate.

Amit's experience has been with the “Big 4” accounting firms for 14 years as part of their corporate and international tax practice. His significant experience in tax matters has been with several large multinational corporations, startups and overseas investors and funds across sectors such as Technology, Media, Telecom, Manufacturing, Defense and Oil & Gas.

He has also extensively advised corporations on tax implications of business transactions and complex tax matters such as permanent establishment (PE), royalty, business and contract structuring. In addition, he has also represented corporations with the Indian tax authorities and executed tax litigation with higher appellate forums in India such as Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and High Court.

As part of his experience, Amit has undertaken international tax development impact assessment studies for changes such as OECD and G20 BEPS Project, Multi-Lateral Instrument (MLI), Place of Effective Management (POEM) regulations, General Anti-Avoidance Rules (GAAR) and attribution of profits to Permanent Establishments.

He is a regular speaker in seminars in events organized by forums such as the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka-UAE Chapter.
